Living by Divine Instruction

Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life.

Proverbs 4:13 (NKJV)

There is a system in God's Kingdom by which men rise, a way of life that defines the mature and distinguishes them from babes. All the great ones before God rose through the ranks by this way, and frankly it is one of the most important secrets of success in life: instruction.

If you are going to navigate this life successfully, you will have to acquaint yourself with the Author of life, the Holy Spirit. He holds the blueprint of your life. But the only way your life will reflect the beauty, the counsel and the purposes of the Spirit is when you learn to receive His instruction: His commands, the divine prerequisites for your destiny. This one word has destroyed the destinies of many, and created the destinies of many others.

The Bible tells us plainly that this is how failure entered the world, when a man chose to rebel against the instruction of the Spirit, and it took a Man wholly yielded to the Spirit to correct the error of man. Your glory with God is in obedience. Those who follow this path become someone with God; history does not lie. If you want friendship with God, you must learn the way of instruction.

A true son of God is marked by his ability to follow the Spirit. It is a hard thing for a man to do, but it is the way of maturing in the divine life: learning to follow the Spirit. Sons of God are those who have been trained to follow Him and His instructions without reservation. If you want the resources of heaven to back you, follow this path. To live by divine instruction is truly to live; it is true wisdom.
