The Presence of Jesus

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

I am convinced that the presence of Jesus is the safest place in the universe. This world is in deep darkness, more corrupt, perverse and deluded than any generation before it. Evil appears to have full reign, and Satan's agenda is becoming increasingly clear, even to the unspiritual. We are living in an unprecedented prophetic reality. Everywhere you look, Satan is being worshipped as the god of this world, and it is clear that God has no place here. The struggle between good and evil has never been more visible. Globally, the left is pushing for ever more satanic and evil legislation.

But this should come as no surprise to us; Jesus prepared us for these days in His Word. The world hates Jesus because it serves Satan, and so everything that represents Him will be hated by the forces that rule this world. This is a reality to which we should be well adapted. Sadly, when you look around, the zeal of the Lord is waning in many. It seems the waters of perversity have slowly crept into modern Christianity, and just as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah vexed the righteous soul of Lot by their deeds, the spirit of this world is having the same vexing effect upon us.

There is one escape from the corruption that is in this world, and it has always been the same: the presence of Jesus.
