Do You Believe in Miracles?
Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know.

The life and ministry of Jesus Christ displayed the miraculous in every way possible. John even said that if everything He did were written down, the world itself could not contain the books. This alone shows that miracles in the life of Jesus were not matters of happenstance, but a minute-by-minute, second-by-second occurrence; only God knows what His disciples witnessed that was never written. The life Jesus lived was governed by the same Spirit He has given us, and so the life of a Christian man or woman should be a continual stream of the miraculous. I once heard a minister of the gospel say that God does not want to give His children miracles, but wisdom. That statement could not be further from the truth, and I do not think it is a very wise one. The miraculous should be the base station of the Christian's life. Jesus, who was the wisdom of God, walked in miracles, and so should you.
The Greek word for miracles is dunamis, from which we derive the English word "dynamo." It refers to mighty ability, miraculous power, power beyond human explanation: divine intervention in the affairs of men that produces supernatural outcomes. It is from this dunamis that miracles occur. This is the same power Jesus said would come upon those who received the Holy Spirit, and He was certain that we could not be His witnesses without it. This means that miracles witness to the reality of Jesus; they are the proof of His presence in your life. Christians who do not demonstrate and experience the miraculous are poor witnesses of Jesus Christ to their generation. To believe in miracles is to believe in God and in all the possibilities He offers. God is not limited, and neither should we limit Him. Israel did, and regretted it deeply.
God has always used miracles to bear witness to Himself, and always will. Let me put it this way. One of the manifestations of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 is the working of miracles; in other words, it is when one of these gifts is in operation that the Holy Spirit makes His presence and activity known. Jesus did everything through the Spirit, the agent of God for the miraculous, and all His works were done in this way. When you live by miracles, you live by the supernatural power of God; you live by the Holy Spirit. Your life becomes inexplicable, a mystery to the world, because the world neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you see and know Him, because He lives in you.
Is your life exuding miracles? Child of God, if your answer is hesitation, you need to discover the communion of the Holy Ghost in your life. You need to cry out for an encounter and pursue this dimension of life. Miracles are attestations of the reality and workings of God. God is a God of miracles, and we ought to be His miracle children; otherwise we are not serving the God of Jesus Christ, and are of all people the most miserable. Christians without the miraculous misrepresent God. The God of the Bible is the Holy Spirit of God. It is He who stands behind every miracle in the Bible, He who demonstrated the ability of God on earth through men, and He can still do it through you. Take this intelligence briefing into your spirit and believe. You can part the Red Sea, receive angelic assistance, have ravens provide for you and walk on water; all this is part of the miraculous life given to you in Christ. If the same Spirit is in you, then it is simply a matter of whether or not you believe in living in this dimension of life.
God wants you living in miracles, because that is the best way to witness for Him. Miracles are not limited to healings or deliverances; they are anything and everything that involves divine power interrupting and overriding physical and natural laws. This can, and should, be your way of life. It is the truth, beloved. Now I put this question to you: do you believe in miracles?
