How Midnight Prayer Will Impact Your Destiny
God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

We live in a world that begins each new day in the morning, but that could not be further from the truth. God is the standard, and His clock begins in the evening. Think about that: the beginning of a new day is the evening. Jesus said there are twelve hours in the day, and the same is true of the night, and according to the Bible the most important hour of the night is midnight.
Men pray because they recognise their need for supernatural intervention in their lives. They know that much in this life is beyond their control, and so humanity has used prayer to petition for help in matters beyond human control. What if I told you that praying at a specific hour can influence the trajectory of your life in this world?
God, the angels, the devils and the whole spiritual world are most active in those hours; a great deal of spiritual and supernatural activity takes place in the watches of the night. Israel's deliverance after four hundred years of slavery took place at midnight, and that cannot be a coincidence. Let me establish this truth from the Scriptures, so that you are convinced of the significance of midnight.
Then Moses said, "Thus says the Lord: About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt."

And it came to pass at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.

Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street.

Read through these scriptures and you will notice a common thread: spiritual and supernatural things take place at midnight and in the watches of the night.
There are reasons we must pray at midnight. The Lord walks and takes action at midnight against the enemies of destiny. At midnight Paul and Silas were given supernatural deliverance. At midnight Peter was visited by the angel and delivered from prison. It was at midnight that the Spirit of God came upon Samson, and he took hold of the doors of the city gate and carried them up a hill. David rose at midnight to declare God's judgements. It was at midnight that the cry of the bridegroom was heard, and the Lord said that the master of the house may come at midnight. It was at midnight that Paul raised the boy who had fallen from the window.
From these scriptures, then, we see that midnight prayer is closely aligned with the spiritual activity of God in the Kingdom. You can route the power of God through midnight prayer. There are things in your life and your family that will never change until you rise at midnight to change them through prayer. This is not something we have made up; it is a revelation of the Spirit that will set in motion the mighty intervention of God in your life.
When Jesus found the disciples sleeping after He had told them to watch and pray, He was shocked, and asked, "Simon, sleepest thou?" He expected them to be praying. While many sleep through the night when they should be watching, remember this: if you are going to see notable interventions, deliverances and miracles in your life, you must hold midnight prayer in high regard.
